 Weight,
load cell, force, stress and tensile strength transducers typically
use strain gauge elements in a bridge configuration. The required
digital panel meters are strain gauge and load cell meters whose
capabilities include high gain, multiple noise filtering modes, zero and
span adjustment, and a built-in bridge excitation supply to power strain
gauges or load cells.
Weight, load cell, force, stress and tensile strength
transducers are also available with a conditioned process signal output
(such as 4-20 mA or 0-10 V) or a pulsed / AC output. These signals can
be displayed by a
process meter or
pulse-input rate meter. Capabilities available with the Laureate
load cell panel meters, process meters and pulse input rate meters
include high read rate, peak hold, custom curve linearization, and rate
from successive readings. |
Laureate
Load Cell Meter, Model WM
5-digit DC digital panel meter with a most sensitive full-scale input
down to ±20 mV. A built-in isolated 10 Vdc excitation supply powers four
350-ohm load cells in parallel. 4- or 6-wire bridge connection with
ratiometric operation cancels variations in the excitation supply.
Multiple selectable filtering methods assure a stable display.
Programmable zero and span using three methods: scale and offset,
two-points, and system-level calibration using actual transducer
signals. Auto-tare with tare value stored in memory for weighing
applications. Optional analog output, relays, and data I/O. Five 0.56"
(14.2 mm) high digits, 1/8 DIN case.

Laureate Scale / Weight Meter, Model LW
A special firmware version for scale / weighing applications of Laureate
digital panel meters with the load cell or process signal conditioner .
Capabilities include display to 999,990 with fixed right-hand zero,
auto-zero display function, auto-tare or manual tare with tare value
stored in non-volatile memory, setpoint control with offset compensation
for filling application, display toggle between gross or net weight,
count by 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 with rounding, and easy scale
calibration using a known weight. Optional analog output, relays, and
data I/O. Six (five active), 0.56" (14.2 mm) high digits, 1/8 DIN case.

Laureate Process Meter, Model P
Suitable for load cell and strain gauge applications when higher signal
levels are available. All capabilities of the Laureate 5-digit Load Cell
meter, except that most sensitive full scale is ±200 mV and bridge
connection is limited to 4 wires.

Magna Series Large Digit Strain Gauge Display
4- or 6-digit large-digit displays with a digit
height of 2.2" (57 mm), 4" (102 mm), 6" (150 mm), or 8" (200 mm)
for long viewing distances. Available for strain gauge signals.
Includes 10 Vdc, 120 mA excitation output to power up to four 350-ohm
load cells in parallel. Optional dual 5A relays, analog output, and
serial data output.Choice of display brightness and cases for indoor or outdoor mounting.
