LT Transmitter Part Number LT20P by Laurel Electronics is a transmitter with a process signal conditioner set so that 4-20 mA reads 0-100.00. Standard features include a user scalable 4-20 mA, 0-10V or +/-10V analog output, RS232 or RS485 data I/O, and two 120 mA solid state relays. The transmitter is suitable for monitoring and control applications which require zero and span adjustment for process signals such as 4-20 mA, 0-5 V, 0-10 V, or strain gauges. The transmitter is also suitable for potentiometer follower applications, where the transducer output is a changing resistance. The digital output is scalable to five full digits from -99,999 to +99,999 to transmit data directly in engineering units, such as PSI. Accuracy is an exceptional 0.01% of full scale +/-2 counts. High read rates at up to 60 or 50 conversions per second are ideal for peak or valley capture, real-time computer interface, and control. Peak and valley values are automatically captured and can be transmitted as serial data. Digital filtering is selectable for electrically noisy environments. The Modbus protocol is fully supported as is the simpler Custom ASCII protocol. A 5V, 10V and 24V transducer excitation output is standard. Power and all inputs and outputs are mutually isolated. The transmitter snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail and is only 22.5 mm (0.89 inch) thick. It is certified to CE, RoHS, and ETL / UL standards.
