LTE Transmitter Part Number LTE20NC by Laurel Electronics is a programmable thermocouple transmitter with a thermocouple signal conditioner set for Type N, -245 to 1300C. Standard features include a user scalable 4-20 mA, 0-10V or +/-10V analog output, Ethernet data I/O, and two 120 mA solid state relays. The transmitter is factory calibrated for type J, K, T, E, N, R and S thermocouples for exceptional accuracy and repeatability. The entire span of each thermocouple type is presented in a single range. The thermocouple type, unit of measure (deg C or F), resolution (1 or 0.1 deg), and upscale or downscale open sensor indication are programmable. All ranges for all thermocouple types are digitally calibrated at the factory, with calibration factors stored in an EEPROM on the signal conditioner board. This allows signal conditioner boards to be changed in the field without recalibrating the transmitter. High read rates at up to 60 or 50 conversions per second are ideal for peak or valley capture, real-time computer interface, and control. Peak and valley values are automatically captured. Digital filtering is selectable for electrically noisy environments. The Modbus protocol is fully supported as is the simpler Custom ASCII protocol. Power and all inputs and outputs are mutually isolated. The transmitter snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail and is only 22.5 mm (0.89 inch) thick. It is certified to CE, RoHS, and ETL / UL standards.
