LT Transmitter Part Number LT40WM1 by Laurel Electronics is a load cell and DC microvolt transmitter with a load cell and microvolt signal conditioner, 4 or 6-wire ratio, with customer specified scaling. Standard features include a user scalable 4-20 mA, 0-10V or +/-10V analog output, custom curve linearization, RS232 or RS485 data I/O, and two 120 mA solid state relays. Load cell and DC microvolt meter operation provides sensitivity down to +/-20 mV full scale with 1 uV resolution. The output is scalable from 0 to +/-99,999 counts to transmit readings in engineering units. A moving average digital filter assures quiet readings in electrically noisy environments. Zero and span may be scaled from 0 to +/-99,999. Accuracy is 0.01% of full scale +/- 2 counts. Custom curve linearization, available with the optional Extended main board, can extend the working range of load cells. An isolated 5, 10 or 24 Vdc isolated excitation output is standard and can power up to four 350-ohm load cells in parallel at 10V. The meter operates in a ratiometric mode to eliminate errors due to excitation variations. When excitation sense inputs are used in 6-wire connection, the meter compensates for variation in resistance of the transducer leads, thereby allowing long cable runs. High read rates at up to 60 or 50 conversions per second are ideal for peak or valley capture, real-time computer interface, and control. Peak and valley values are automatically captured. The Modbus protocol is fully supported as is the simpler Custom ASCII protocol. A 5V, 10V and 24V transducer excitation output is standard. Power and all inputs and outputs are mutually isolated. The transmitter snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail and is only 22.5 mm (0.89 inch) thick. It is certified to CE, RoHS, and ETL / UL standards.
