Laurel Electronics LTE Transmitter Part Number LTE41SG1 Strain Gauge Ethernet Transmitter, Custom Scaling, Custom Curve Linearization, 4-20 mA Analog and Ethernet Outputs, Dual 120 mA Relays, 10-48 Vdc Power
LTE Transmitter Part Number LTE41SG1 by Laurel Electronics is a strain gauge transmitter with a strain gauge signal conditioner with customer specified scaling. Standard features include a user scalable 4-20 mA, 0-10V or +/-10V analog output, custom curve linearization, Ethernet data I/O, and two 120 mA solid state relays. The transmitter operates in a ratiometric mode for potentiometer follower applications, where the transducer output is a changing resistance. Strain gauges with a 20 mV output can be scaled to output up to 10,000 counts with a 4-wire ratiometric connection, while 200 mV outputs of can be scaled to output up to 99,999 counts. Accuracy is 0.01% of full scale +/-2 counts. An isolated 5, 10 or 24 Vdc isolated excitation output is standard and can power up to four 350-ohm load cells in parallel at 10V. Ratiometric operation eliminates variations in excitation voltage. High read rates at up to 60 or 50 conversions per second are ideal for peak or valley capture, real-time computer interface, and control. Peak and valley values are automatically captured. Digital filtering is selectable for electrically noisy environments. The Modbus protocol is fully supported as is the simpler Custom ASCII protocol. A 5V, 10V and 24V transducer excitation output is standard. Power and all inputs and outputs are mutually isolated. The transmitter snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail and is only 22.5 mm (0.89 inch) thick. It is certified to CE, RoHS, and ETL / UL standards.
